The adventure begins in 2020 with the "GRIGNETTE" cuvée! In its very abundant environment, the vine seemed very slender and delicate. This is what inspired this name of cuvée (a Beaujolais slang term).

His first cuvée is drinkable, smart and fruity. Not without complexity, the wine has a good balance and should be drunk chilled. Jovial and elegant, as evidenced by its ruby color. It is a wine in the spirit of so-called “natural” wines, but with intelligence and temperance.

It's a new life for Aurelien Burgaud that begins in 2017, when he turns to viticulture. A homecoming in his native Beaujolais. He learns the trade from a winegrower in a large estate. He discovers the rigor, humility and wonder necessary for the elaboration of a wine. Many observations, reflections and encounters quickly give him the desire to question “knowledge” in order to continue his learning, and to “make” the wine that he loves. The need to express his singular sensitivity then decided him to embark on the adventure in the spring of 2020.

The resulting wine is the fruit of artisanal work in the vineyard, made of manual plowing, controlled grassing, work with a pickaxe, reasoned treatments against vine diseases, biodynamic preparations and harvesting with friends. He really likes to observe , experiment and embellish (vegetation covers, living soil, flower seedlings, etc.).

Most of his work is therefore done in the vineyard . The quality of the grape will make that of the wine. He vinifies as close to the natural as possible, depending on the conditions of the year. Thus, the fruit of the 2020 vintage gives a jovial and elegant Beaujolais as it should be!

His nascent 2ha estate consists of a superb plot producing "Grignette" in Quincié-en-Beaujolais, and two old vines on the slopes of the Régnié cru announcing a new cuvée in 2021.
