Chkhaveri is an endemic Gurian variety that can be produced in a amber, rosé, and red style. This is a white Chkhaveri that was harvested in November, slow hnad pressed with a few hours of skin contact. A lovely pale amber, crisp with notes of apple and wild pear. 1200 bottles produced.
Dato Kobidze is a hero of Western Georgia and particularly the region of Guria. He makes all of his wines by hand in qvevri, large clay jars buried underneath the ground, in an ancient style.
