The Intellego Chenin Blanc is the very first wine that was made under the Intellego label and these grapes are from a vineyard in the South of the Swartland. The label is a picture the winemaker took of an abandoned workers house next to the vineyard. These workers contribute massively to the vineyards and work been done there.

Whole bunch pressed and fermented on the gross lees in old 500L barrels.

Racked before bottling and a small part of sulphur added before being bottled.
The wine sits on the lees for 11 months and no batonage done.

Their philosophy remains minimal intervention during the winemaking process and the wines are a celebration of the hard work done in the vineyard. For them it is intuitive winegrowing, an evolution through experimentation on small pockets of land selected in the Swartland Appellation.
