Keep it natural, baby.
A northern Californian Zinfandel as it ought to be. Leaner and more nimble than the inked up tannin-bombs from Paso Robles (those are often gussied up with Petit Sirah or what have you anyway). This is a more elegant red with great red berry notes and a subtle woodsy spice. From old vines in the north coast region, farmed with organic practices. Great chilled to around 60 degrees. Spontaneous fermentation in neutral oak, not filtered or fined and nothing is added except a small sulfites dose at bottling.
You know it is something special when California wine legend / wearer of many hats, Wolfgang Weber and rockstar winemaker, Chad Hinds of Methode Sauvage Iruai, team up to make classic California varieties like Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc. These are fresh and delicious wines. The fruit is all sourced from organic vineyards and the winemaking is decidedly low-intervention, yielding in wines that are alive.
