Keep it natural, baby.
This wine comes from a vineyard Vince took over from Alain Gaudet in 2015. Still in the Auvergne, but here we have some young vines (15 y.o.) and some old vines (40 y.o.) of Pinot Noir - 500 meters up. Whole bunches in a fibreglass vat. Grape trampling to make space in the vat, maceration of whole bunches in the juice. Devatting, pressing and blending of the free-run and pressed juice. Maceration of 3 weeks. No added chemical inputs.
"Alain Gaudet helps me enormously and above all he lets me act with confidence, always with his ideas but always with the 'listen. I wanted, with this wine, to make a dedication to it and also to mark the difference in style. Tournoël Riot seemed relevant to me to underline these 2 elements, the reminder of the name of the domain and “riot” English word which evokes the revolution occurring on the domain. The word "riot" is also reminiscent of a Punk culture very present in my home."
No Control consists of 5 hectares of vines, where one can find several grape varieties :
gamay, pinot noir, syrah, chardonnay, sauvignon, sylvaner and pinot auxerrois.
This allows them to make between 5 and 7 cuvees.
No Control also has an impressive diverserange of terroirs born from recent and former volcanic activity. This gives the wines typical features and a specific mineral taste.
Enjoy the tasting.
