Keep it natural, baby.
Vale da Capucha Palheto is a mix of white Arinto and red Castelinho, which are co-fermented in inox before bottling. Serve this wine chilled.
Vale da Capucha wines are grown in the Lisbon coast, only 8 km from the Atlantic ocean. Vineyards planted on kimmeridgian limestone with clay. Indigenous grape varieties – Arinto, Fernu Pires, Alvarinho, Gouveio, certified organic viticulture by SATIVA and natural winemaking (only SO2) assure the maximum expression of this terroir blessed by the Atlantic influence. Transparent fermentations, nothing is added or taken from the juice, and the result are bright, energized wines that breathe life. At Vale da Capucha the proximity to the sea keeps the wines naturally high in acid. Pedro believes in using a long fermentation in order to build textural wines that balance the region’s naturally high acid grapes. Vale da Capucha wine has become known as one of the pioneers in Portuguese natural wines by producing precise wines without any cellar trickery – the wines are as clean as they are natural. No funk, just pure luscious deliciousness.
